Erin Baker was named into the 2021-22 class of Faculty Scholars. This program recognizes and rewards emerging academic leaders who demonstrate significant achievement. Erin was recognized for her outstanding academic achievements and contributions to NC State through her teaching, scholarship, and service to the university and beyond.
Erin is the Director of CAPTURE which is the analytical core of the PFAS Superfund Research Center. She also utilizes multidimensional separation techniques such as liquid chromatography, ion mobility spectrometry, and mass spectrometry to evaluate molecules present and changing in biological and environmental systems in the Chemistry Department.
