Welcome Kiara Servin – Center (CEC) Intern

Join SRP in welcoming Kiara Servin, who will be working with the Community Engagement Core (CEC) this summer through the Science Communicators of North Carolina’s (SCONC) HBCU internship program. Students majoring in STEM Fields at North Carolina HBCUs are paired with professional science communicators across the Research Triangle Region for ten weeks, offering hands-on experiential learning. Kiara will be working on a variety of projects like creating and updating infographics and managing our social media presence. That said, Kiara wanted to share the following information with the center:

Hello everyone, I am Kiara Servin. I am originally from California but I was raised in Durham and am a native Spanish speaker. I am a recent graduate from North Carolina Central University and I majored in biology. I have always loved science and I am so excited to be able to spend the summer learning how to communicate it through different ways. In the future, I aspire to go to vet school and specialize in agricultural animals!
