Detlef Knappe (Admin Core and Project 4) gave a presentation in July to the STaRS participants about PFAS in North Carolina. Teachers were very interested in this topic and many of them included PFAS in their proposed teaching plans, as one teacher said in the evaluation; “I loved learning about PFAS and how it affects North Carolina directly. It made me more interested to have something so close to home that I can share with my students.”
